Wordpress 2.+ Permalink Problems
 

Anyone have a fix for this shit???

what type of problems?
have u tried changing your .htaccess?

I haven't had any issues

Pretty much I'm running into this now every fuckin time I transfer a blog from one host to another.

Everything goes smooth then permalinks don't work at all. htaccess mods don't do a dam thing.

check the file permissions on your .htaccess file on the new server. When you go to update the Permalink settings do you get this error?

You should update your .htaccess now.

If so - then that's the fix.

On another note. Why do some hosts let u see .htaccess files via wtf ever ftp prog I happen to be using and some don't?

From now on that will be my first question to any new host I deal with. WHEN I LOG IN WITH WS_FTP WILL I SEE or be able to upload and actuaclly visualize that god dam .HTACCESS FILE OR NOT???

use flashfxp?
you should be able to see all your .htaccess
90% sure thats the casue of your permalink problems

Just had a friend have similar problems. The permalink structure was changed in the options but she got no indication from Wordpress that .htaccess was not getting updated.
