Johnny Hart RIP (Created BC comic stip)

Johnny Hart, who created the BC comic strip, and co-created the Wizard of Id, has passed away at 76 years old. He was at his drawing table when he died.

I enjoyed his humor since I was a kid - he had a wonderful gift.

Well, that's a downer.

I enjoyed both strips starting as a youngster. BC was my favorite of the two - as it tended to be a bit more philosophical. Both were very good. He had an illustrious career.

RIP

Here's today's BC:

Sorry to hear he passed, but frankly, I couldn't stand BC. Too preachy around the holidays.

True that - he frequently pushed his Christian views...I liked him best when his message was more non-secular and universal. I guess that's why I enjoyed his collaboration on Wizard of Id better:
