Are the paysite owners leaking their content to torrent sites?

I somehow suspect many of them are "indirectly" uploading their content to these sites while playing lip service to affiliates.

And they don't give away full scenes, the key to marketing yourself on torrent sites is to put up part of the scene and make it end in a place where the user will want more. Or as some do, basically add the torrent but then stop seeding, which leads to getting banned after a while. This is basically the same as running password sites, as some programs do to market themselves to another target group that wont fall for the same marketing tactics as the average surfer. The best way I've seen this done is to have the password automatically stop working for an IP after X amount of time after login, that's how you get the cheap people to sign up. Or have a site full of bad passwords which leads to frustration and thus to actually purchasing a membership |

Second, I seriously doubt a sponsor would upload full length videos week after week. Lastly, if the sponsor was dumb enough to do that, it's still there video, they can do what they want with it, however I don't see the logic and it makes no sense. However if that is their logic your solution should be to move on to a different sponsor. Even if it's not the sponsor doing it and you think it affects your sales, then still you have to move on. |

 Ofcourse they do, happends everyday.
Its a good way to market your website. Cheap too. The only cost is for you to upload the torrent to some others. |

Affiliate programs aren't uploading the full scenes to movies. You will find some that do create promo scenes, cut/part scenes, drm movies, ect - however most torrent sites are stolen-uploaded content from past/current members.
Torrent sites only control a small % of possible traffic, and even less for possible sales. However Torrent sites do produce sales, much like newsgroups, p2p, ect. Password sites, yes many of us leak passwords. Many people create user/pass leaks to full-fake member areas, for direct sales, traffic trades, ect. This marketing game has been going on for years. I welcome and my affiliates should welcome any pw leaks - since you get credit for all sales produced from that leak. DRM is improving and is starting to have an even stronger need, give it time and I think many affiliate programs will change over to drm protected downloadable movies. And our members/surfers will be the ones that drove us to do so. |

Of course they do as already confirmed - just as they upload their content to the newsgroups and filesharing boards
Sponsors have always run the best and biggest password trading sites - its a goldmine |
