Things to do in downtown Denver?

Taking the wife on a weekend trip to Denver for her birthday at the end of the month. When we go, we usually stay downtown at the Westin since the Cubs always stay there but no baseball on this trip since it is her bday.

Anyone recommend a nice Italian restraunt that is downtown or a short cab ride from the Performing Arts Center area?

Walk down Colfax in the middle of the night, lots of action.
If you like to beat up homosexuals for fun try the area behind the capital building.

Things to do in Denver: take a ride up to Boulder.

My girfriend goes to the performing arts center all the time. I'll ask her tonight for some good advice on places in the area.

Rock Bottom Brewery near the 16th St Mall downtown has great beer--and, the food's pretty good, too.

Head down to 16th St. or Lower Downtown and it's an all pedestrian area where there are many bars, restaurants, shops, and just stuff to see. It's great.

There is Il Fornaio down there, also there is a good Brazilian steakhouse, Ruth Chris' and some others.

I spent a year in Aurora for my Air Force technical school. One of the best times of my life. I dont think I ever was drunk so many weekends in a row.
