One possible solution for 2257?

For proven affiliates, sponsors could register a domain for the affiliate a question (in the sponsors name) and host the domain for the affiliate. This way the submitter could still submit or run sites on that domain solely to promote sponsor in question.

Would this work?

Perhaps the sponsor could give the webmaster just a smaller payout for this to offset the hosting, perhaps $30 or $32 a sign up instead of $35...

I don't think it would work on a review site like mine.

Some sponsors already do this, or at least let you temporarly transfer your domain to them, they host, ect.

Though I think this is only a loop hole and that I am far from an attorney but I would wonder if this could end up messing with the whole sub contractor non employee relationship we all have now.

This would work and the hosting cost is not a big deal, what is a big deal is making sure the images the webmasters upload are indexed into the cross referencing system. It would be easy to create a directory structure to make this automatic however I dont know if webmasters would actually go to the effort to make sure everything is uploaded into a proper directory structure so images can be indexed properly.

Another issue I could see.

Would all of the sponsors really trust the affiliates. I mean one person could put the owners into legal trouble if they upload one picture they are not supposed to. Unless of course the entire system is sort of no uploads allowed.
Then what about indexing as required by the holder as mentioned, that would either have to be cross refferenced and automated or again major risk. One would also have to only use sponsors content for each sponsor no matter what, even with design.

No, this would probably be for people who submit, the affiliate would have to only promote the sponsor in question on the domain of course.

Works with trusted webmasters because the sponsor ends up responsible for anything and everything that the webmasters upload. Could put your whole program at risk that way.

True, the webmaster would also have to use sponsor content only.

This is a good question. I have a few sponsors that host the domains I submit with. I would love to hear some more comments on this. :thumbsup
