Do you think it is lame when company owners do not come to their own events?
Not sure if they think it is cool, do not like the people in our industry or just have no respect but I think it blows when a company throws a party, a tradeshow, or even a dinner and the owner does not show up, just sends a rep, or just makes a brief appearance.
Now I am not referring to Bill Gates not coming to a Microsoft cocktail party. I am referring to companies in the adult industry. Thoughts? |
Seems like a bone head thing to do to me... But I guess a rep is good enough

You mean like Hef not attending a playboy bash?
|
that seems kind of weird to me too
|
I don't see why not, owners in these companies are usually very busy, so long as there's someone representing the company hosting the party, that seems fine to me. Of course I prefer it when the owners come, but I understand if they don't.

I fully understand if they do not. Heck they are already paying for the event anyways, can not want more really.

If you are referring to one of the hundreds of playboy mansion parties that Hef rents his place out for then no. If you mean Hef himself actually throwing a party and not showing, then yes. Do alot of owners in this industry have better things to do then hang out with the common webmasters that attend their events or is it just to be cool. Seems disrespectful to me. |
I think that owners of any company trying to establish themselves need to be there for sure! They would be stupid not to be.
|
I don't care if the company owner shows up or not, free drinks and dinner = free drinks and dinner haha!
DH P.S. I always make sure I thank whoever throws the party/dinner when I get home. |
