The government has a major hardon for this guy. Way too much flaunting on his part...

I'm in Panama City Beach where that happened, (this whole thing has been going on for a while) and heard today that he had till noon to turn himself in, they would put forth a warrant on him.

He has been trying to get out of the community service that was sentenced to him. Of course the whole way it is setup is bullshit if you ask me. Trying to make him come cross country to serve several hours a month over the course of several months just don't sound right to me.

it's bizarre...but you get guys like me (and a lot of others) trying to do everything correct and we struggle... then you get 'bad' guys like Joe Francis who treat the girls very badly and make 10's of millions..

Joe has the money to buy good lawyers. This may help him emerge on top of any legal scenario.

PENSACOLA, Fla. - The founder of the "Girls Gone Wild" videos defied a federal judge Thursday, calling him a "judge gone wild" and refusing to surrender to U.S. marshals on a contempt citation.

U.S. District Judge Richard Smoak ordered Joe Francis into custody after settlement negotiations soured in a lawsuit brought by seven women who were minors when Francis' company filmed them on Panama City Beach.

The 34-year-old Francis, who makes an estimated $29 million a year through the videos of girls exposing their breasts, drew the contempt order Wednesday after lawyers for the women said Francis threatened them during negotiations.

Francis told The Associated Press late Thursday that Smoak "had lost his mind."

"This judge has gone as far as to call me the devil and an evildoer," he said. "It is a case of a judge gone wild."

Francis' attorneys appealed the order that would send him to jail; the court had not issued an opinion Thursday evening. Smoak denied a request by Francis to stay the order pending the appeal.

Smoak refused requests for comment Thursday.

Actually the arrest warrant was issued for contempt 5 April 2007. The 2257 issue cost him 1.6 Million dollars but no jail time.
