Meet the newest member of our family (PICS)

We just adopted him today from the humane society.
He's a chow/husky mix. He's about 3 months old and weighs around 30lbs. When full grown he'll be about 150lbs. We named him Duke.

Here he is with our other dog Duchess (hence the reason we named him Duke).

Too adorable?. the both of them :)

150 pounds seems like an awful lot for that mixture of dog. Both Alaskan and Siberian Huskys top out at between 70-80 pounds. Chow's about the same aren't they?

Maybe you're right. Chows are heavyset dogs though.

This fella has some very large paws and the 150lb number is what the people at the humane society told me. Wouldn't hurt my feelings if he topped out at 80 lbs, would be much easier to get him in and out of the car :)

I'm trying to think how heavy my male Rottweiler was at 3 months. I can't remember, but his paws were the size almost of the palm of my hand. He's about 140 pounds or so fully grown, on the large size for the breed.

It could be the chow part I'm confused about .. Is there another dog called Chow that's not a Chow-Chow?

I really couldn't tell ya. I don't know alot about dogs, I'm just going by what the people at the humane society told me.

He is adorable!

The humane society told me my dog could get up to 150 lbs but she is only 70. We have a part chow part lab that is about 80. Which is about average for a chow. Yours is definately a cutie!
