Unless yuor house is full of rocks and broken glass, yuo do not need shoes. Leave those things at the door.

Here everyone wears their shoes indoors and pretty much only takes them off when they go to bed... It drives me nuts and pisses me off. Wearing shoes into someone elses house is like the rudest thing you can do next to taking a shit in their kitchen sink...

I usualy walk barefoot around in the summer anyways. Keep the shoes in the car incase i need to go the store or a resturaunt
