Canada calling it's reserve to go fight in Afganistan
Great Job our leader did there :Oh crap :Oh crap :Oh crap
Fuck this Bush worshipper cock nibbler name Harper. Bring back a guy like Chretien who had fucking balls. |
chretian didn't do anything worth mentioning for years
and harper didn't do anything in regards to afganistan. the liberals did. what do you think reserves are for? |
Harper is one of the best USA state governors ....
|
it's aboot democracy.
|
good for Canada
if they are brown, shoot them down |
for fuck sakes

I loved Chretien until I studied what he did for a year (or should I say what he didn't do) in University.
The liberal government did nothing in regards to any issue. They used a neutral stance in everything so they could retain power. They never did anything to pis the Bloq, ndp or conservatives (reformers) off. Harper is at the very least doing something. It's really better than sitting around trying to unify the country for 13 years blowing billions on PR campaigns. Chretien gave Canada a great image, nothing more. |
I read that Canada has 2,500 troops in Afghanistan (and 45 Canadians have died in the war there so far). With such a small number of troops there, I'm surprised that are calling up reserves.
By comparison, the U.S. has 27,000 troops in Afghanistan, and has lost 308 troops so far there. ADG Webmaster |

Personally I'm "ok" with the reasoning of why we went into Afghanistan in the first place and I'm proud of the work our troops are doing there... If it was Iraq I'd be pissed off. Unlike most people, I understand that now that we're there, we're stuck there until the job is done and it could take a decade or 2. |

Canadian Deaths: 45/2500 = 1.8% American Deaths: 308/27000 = 1.15% We went there in supoprt of what happened on 9/11 to YOUR citizens. Please don't trivialize our contributions. |
ne1 know how many of those canadian were killed by "friendly" fire and/or training mishaps?
|
id like to see harper out of power as fast as possible.
i miss the liberals |

The comparison was to show how small the number of Canadian troops are in proportion to the number of U.S. troops. It is unlikely that Canada would have any troops in Afghanistan if the U.S. was not engaged as it is. You read too much into my comment... ADG Webmaster |

We'd be shooting half of Canada and there'd be a sudden shortage of Taxi drivers nationwide. Give me a break, this is ridiculous. It's our war because we chose to involve ourselves in it, but you know, I suddenly miss Chretien. :( |

on a side note, if everyone hates the US and what they are doing, why hasnt there been a worldwide boycott on US goods or out the stoppage of trade?
|
Quote:
If there was a boycott on US goods then more americans would lose their jobs to other countries, and the US would be even more hurting economically. Anyways, I havent heard a Canadian say aboot ever, but have heard several americans say it. Its almost sad when americans say it to a canadian thinking they are funny. |

Lets remember 10 fucking years of Chretien's rule we had non stop fucking cuts to the military. Chretien had no balls at all. All he did was cripple our armed forces and said whatever anyone wanted to hear. I know this because I spent the lions share of my ten years in the military under that fucktard. If he did his job then there'd be no need to be calling on reserves. He didn't. Also our reserves aren't gonna get involuntarily called there. Hell some reservists have to fight to get deployments.
I'm Liberal as hell but I'm glad as hell the conservatives won. People need to get informed and realize that Canadian Conservatives are not US conservatives. Harper at least does what he says. And even when votes don't go his way he moves on to the next task, and doesn't whine about it. He actually listens to the people when they speak, imagine that? :2 cents: |

Indeed. Do tell, pray tell. After you reply I may take a while to get back to you, because as of now I'm oot n' aboot. All y'all have a nice day now. Y'heah? |
Canada is in Afghanistan because Canada supported the war on terror against Bin Laden. Canada offered more troops initially, but the US wanted their prize without help. Unfortunately, the US pulled out before they finished the job with the Taliban and they're re-surging.
Canada did not support the war on Iraq because we were right, there were no weapons of mass destruction as Georgie Bushladen convinced many to believe that Saddam had. Ironically, he went after the wrong country, when North Korea and Iran pose a much greater threat, and that became relevant the day the strike took place in Iraq. Canada may not have supported the US lead war in Iraq, but most everyone in Canada sure as hell supports the US troops that are asked to fight. I'd very much like to see them home, but I'm afraid their Bushladen and his cabinet have dug a hole too deep, and many good people are dying needlessly. |

Standard procedure to utilize reserve soldiers who have specifically volunteered to serve overseas; happens in every theater and it's been happenning in Afghanistan since we went there in '01. The U.S.A. uses it's reserves as well.
Enough with the anti bush and america shit too. It's the fucking crutch the left leans on when they don't have anything useful to say. Harper is no lapdog to America. Harper is the first P.M. we've had in a long time who leads instead of governing by poll. |
