We use http://www.pennywize.com and are very satisfied with them.

Pennywize is pretty old school.. The best solution I have seen so far is proxypass, cause it does all the shit that pennywize and iprotect does, but it also has a central open-proxy db..

Pennywize won't stop the brute forcer from doing a huge open proxy attack on you, it'll only stop 1 proxy at a time (if it can identify them).

Check it out, I am pretty pleased with it so far.

Backov

We've asked pennywize to install their system to our site about 1 month ago. We haven't got any REAL action from their side yet. I think pennywize is fucking company :321GFY because they do not respect potential customers. Corvette from CCBill recommended us iprotect yesterday. Anybody can advise something else?

That's the URL.. ;>

I am bugging the programmer guy to put in some automation stuff so that I can integrate some automatic responses to shared passwords and such in my scripts.

Right now it blocks the shared passwords and other things for a default (settable) period of time and you have to hit the admin to do something about it, but my old script auto changed the password and mailed out the new password to the user.. When the pw had been changed 3 times because of sharing, it shut down the account. I'd like to get that back into the system.

Cheers,
Backov

Both pennywize and password Trojan have a serious support problem, I ordered Pennywize but waited and waited, it never got installed..LOL I use PT now its doing a ok job, but if you need additional help with it, expect to wait 2-3 days for a mail reply!

iŽll look into that proxypass

We just developed some software that is working great on our beta sites to reduce password sharing, proxy hacking, brute force etc. So far it has worked great on numerous sites, reducing some of the sites bandwidth bills by 75%. It does much more than this however, take a look at the sig and browse around the programs section.
