best auto updating tgp script
 

is there a tgp script around that does autoupdates? so you can do all the reviews on a single day and let the script update for the rest of the week every 24 hours.

umm.. so this hasn't been done commercially? although i couldn't code it myself, it seems to be a straightforward job.

You can set it up with a cronfile, thats what i did.
But it's always easier off course to find a tgp script that does the job for you. I'am pretty happy with my cronfile and my TGP devil script :)

For some reason, I have had a few people ask me about this feature over the last couple of days. I guess I will have to write it in soon. I played with the idea last night and I think I have a nice, smooth way to do it. It works like this:


Turn on the autoupdate feature.
Select how many days it will be until you review again.
Review as many galleries as you'd like.
Go drink beer or whatever it is you'd rather do.

The script will look at how many posts have been approved in each category and divide that by how many days it will be until your next update. Say you review 100 teen galleries and have the next update scheduled in 4 days. 25 teen galleries will be posted each day for 4 days.

Think this is the best way to do it? If you have any ideas, please let me know.

Well, I have my links jumbled at the moment. Maybe also add a feature just to do the first (let them fill in how many you update a day, i.e. I update 198 gals/day). And just update 198/day for 7 days. The other way would be tight also, cause I am going to reorginize my links soon.

Simply specify how many new approved links will be added to the site each update. If you set a limit of 50 new links, and have 500 approved links sitting in the queue, you would have 10 days of updates ready to roll out on a CRON.

Then if you had a categorized TGP, you couldn't guarantee that new submissions were being added to the category every day. I was going to do it like that but realized the niches that get fewer submissions may not get updated every day.
