You Want the Sound On or Off??
 

I'm doing the final frigging around with 5 sites - and they all have embedded flv clips updating every 4 days

Question - should the sound be automatic when it loads?
or should it be off?

You guys (some of you) will be promoting this stuff and I have to choose.

id leave the sound off to start with, and make a sound button very visible to the surfer

I'd have to agree with madawgz. Sound off at load. First off, you don't wanna scare off a person right off the bat. What if he's trying to be discreet?

A lot of people browse from their home with their wife/mother cooking in the next room. Some chick moaning will quickly make them close the site.

off..I hate suddenly having sounds come out of my speakers without warning. That is the reason I surf with sound off most of the time.

I know when I'm editing I listen to nearly all of it because of junk noise and phones ringing and shit - so maybe I'm used to it - i really thought it would be kinda normal to have the sound 'up front'.

I've gotten that way that I am going for 'natural' bloopers and moments that humanise the girls and the clips.

You all are very kind to coment for me - you might have made me difference between getting affiliates and being passed over maybe so I'm going to change it on all the sites now as soon as my programmer comes back after Easter.
