Do you think PAYSITES will exist in 5-10 years?

The combination of the new smarter surfer and the growing amount of free content is scaring me. If you find the right torrentsites and forums you can find EVERYTHING for free. TONS of dvd's, pics, clips and stories in EVERY niche. Illegal, but still free. :(

I heard this exact question when TGP's started up.

96ukssob 04-02-2007 12:12 PM

i think they will be around, but i think the paysite will move to a more interaction type then just content.

your right, anyone can go and download tons of gigs of content, but they cant cam with some chick for free. i think as teh web develops and things get a little more "buttoned up" there will be less and less torrent sites and places to get free content

At some point, content producers and web site owners better get smart and come up with some sort of copyright protection, and an organization like the RIAA to go after infringers, or we will suffer the same type of pain that the music industry is going through (some will say we are already there).

content is everywhere and will be still more. its going to be not only about the content

i think they will be, maybe a slightly different format though. i'll say this i really want to start my own line of paysites, the only thing stopping me aside from not having a EU or US presence is i don't want my shit all over the net. unti there is a way to stop people from sharing videos like they do, i think i will hold off.

Cams are definitely a part of the future within paysites. But I feel like there is NOTHING that will stop torrentsites.

Yeah. I wonder how much new content the industry adds every week. Must be a fucking lot.

Difference between the music world and our world is that the music world likes to sign a lot of talentless motherfuckers who can't play music for shit, favors are traded left and right to morons who don't know the first thing about the industry nor about music, and the price of a CD is still sometimes prohibitive, depending on where you live. Doesn't seem to be the case in the adult industry (obviously not a direct comparison, but use your noggin to understand the connection). :D

I think its telling though that the internet adult industry has done so well in spite of piracy. People were freely trading tons and tons of pirated porn before bittorrent. I'd argue the RIAA hasnt done a damn thing to stop piracy, and only made legitimate content stifling for innovative would-be distributers and a pain for consumers (ala DRM). They are among the most hated organizations in the world, now, suing their customer base, one at a time.

People will pay for convenience, iTunes is the perfect example. How many people could go download limewire and get all those tracks for free, instead they pay Apple a dollar a pop for each download. Even with bittorrent, it can be hard to get exactly what you want. You have to be satisfied with what other people are offering at that particular moment. No guarentees on a speedy download, or video quality or anything. With a paid service you would have all that, and thats what the value is. All you have to do is be more convenient than the pirates.

Uhm... The porn industry is full of the same amount of talentless motherfuckers who cant produce porn for shit favors are traded left and right to morons who don't know the first thing about the industry nor about porn, and the price of paysite is still sometimes prohibitive, depending on where you live.

TheLegacy 04-02-2007 01:42 PM

by the looks of it legally, freesites will be fewer due to accessibility - kids can easily get porn these days through freesites. Clamping down may mean they may.. (I said MAY) turn webmasters now into paysite owners. We were chatting about that in Phoenix at the legal seminars that free content is highly targeted by the government because to them, webmasters don't care that kids are viewing their content.

MrMaxwell 05-27-2007 12:32 PM

There will always be a demand for fresh new content and new crazy fetishes and the producers / models will not ever work for free. Paysites, yes, they will be around for ever, on a monthly sale for a content site basis- I certainly think that is going out with the landline phone, but as someone said, for one thing cam sites will be HUGE.

JamesK2 05-27-2007 12:50 PM

In 10 year all porn will be free, all jobs will be voluntary.

jact 05-27-2007 01:03 PM

I don't even think the internet will be anything like it is today in 10 years, will pay SERVICES exist, sure, will pay SITES exist? Probably not...
