Bush attacks Iran over British captives

President George W Bush has condemned Iran's "inexcusable behaviour" after its capture of 15 Royal Navy personnel.

The US leader added that he would "strongly support" the British government over the crisis.

Meanwhile, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has attacked the UK as "arrogant and selfish".

Mr Bush told reporters at Camp David: "The British hostages issue is a serious issue because the Iranians took these people out of Iraqi water"

It will be interesting to see how this develops...

Are you saying we have no justification to attack Iran?

Typical BBC propaganda, had Ahmadinejad said something similiar I doubt they would have used the word "attack".

Update (CNN) -- New video on Iranian government-run TV networks Sunday showed two of the 15 British detainees being held in Iran.

The brief clips showed two men, one at a time, standing in front of a map. The first man, who does not appear to identify himself, points to where the crew was "when we were seized."

He said it was "apparently at this point, here, from their maps, which is inside Iranian territorial waters." (Watch the two crew members describe their 'intrusion')

Are you just quoting those paragraphs to insinuate blame should be placed on Britain?

so prisoners in iran that are brittish cant be forced into saying false statements, but prisoners in gitmo can? fucking sheeshhhhhh these guys are being forced to say this shit for propaganda, plain and fucking simple. If all of a sudden prisoner statements from gitmo were recorded and televised nationaly as propaganda there would be an outrage, what is up with all the fucking radical muslim empathy these days....

First of all, you are right that the videos are coerced.... even if they are not by themself...

Just the fact of been a prisonner ( not a hostage...) of a foreign country, and of a foreign culture, put the captives in a weak position. The brits prisonners are right to comply and say whatever they are said to say... It has not even a shadow of credebility to the world.

On the other hand, statements obtained in Guantanamo from kidnapped peasants have no more value....

:1orglaugh Talk about arrogance ... I guess I was right. They did admit that it was their fault after all ? What a bunch of Nincompoops. They got used by Iran and paraded around like monkeys in their new suits with "gift bags"... insane that the only way these fuckers can try to convey that they are "nice" ( I will kidnap you then reward you with kindness :1orglaugh ) ...

I still don't understand how armed british soldiers are captured and detained so easily ...
