Cloud-seeding over Vegas again
anyone in vegas? talk a look in the southern sky. notice the tick-tack-toe pattern of comtrails over the sky. notice how the old ones form horse feather and wispy cloud cover. why are they forming clouds over this area? this happened yesterday and has been happening several times a week since febuary.
i work facing the southern sky so i see this happen all the time. i take pictures too... |

the lasvegassun.com has an article stating that clark county contributes $50k a year to utah cloud seeding program. snow melt in utah drains into the river and ultimately lake mead. therefore, it would be safe to assume that although cloud seeding over vegas will not cause rain or snow, but will instead decrease evaporation rates by blocking out the sun. reducing evaporation rates seems to be a reasonable explanation. |

i think it's to block the sun reducing evaporation rates. |
