starting TGP questions

Hey guys. I'm thinking of starting a TGP but I've got a few questions first:

For TGP list sites that check if your gallery has changed, what kind of check does the software do? Will it just check to make sure the images haven't changed, or will it check if any of the HTML has changed at all? I'm asking because if I have, for example, link exchanges on the page that change after I've submitted, will it flag the page as being changed or are most intelligent enough not to do that?

For link trades, is it considered bad ettiqet to buy traffic and redirect it to link trades to get them started, give them a boost, or sustain them entirely?

What kind of policy do paysites that offer promotion content to webmasters have? Specifically, can I download a bunch of their free promotion images (eg from their free hosted galleries) and make TGP pages with their images as long as I promote them on that page? I understand that different paysites will have different policies, but can you give me an idea approximately how often is what I just described allowed by sponsors?

Any tips for making a successful TGP?

It depends to much on the sponsor to give a general answer but if the sponsor produces the content themselves they are usually pretty cool with letting you use the pics on your own galleries and might even give you access to stuff from their member areas.

Alright, that's good to know.

Anyone have answers to my other questions, or any tips you'd be willing to share? (icq 361-027-691 if you'd rather give them in private)

Oh, another question I have... I keep seeing people talk about the productivity of traffic rated as a percentage. Is it just average number of links clicked divided by the number of uniques, then put as a percentage?

Welcome rainer :)

Not totally sure how it works, but more clicks by each visitor is higher productivity.

Yes, 100 hits in giving 250 clicks is 250% productivity.

A fair bit of the info there I've seen before, but some that I haven't. Thanks.

Another question I thought of, for the TGP submitters... what is the benefit of partner accounts? Is it just that if the webmaster gives you an account, they'll accept your stuff more often?
Any tips on getting partner accounts?

Bump to get some more answers

you just get a reserved slot that the tgp will look at your submissions first pretty much.
you still have to have what they want from a gallery and if you dont the gallery wont be listed.
but not all the tgps have the same rules about how they list their partners this is just how i run mine.
you can buy some from http://www.submitpasses.com

(URL editted because I can't post URL's yet)

Is that website a list of TGP's that do partner accounts, or is it where people are selling off the username/pass to their current account?
If it's the former, then you should be able to find most of the websites on your own by searching, so it's just a time saving thing to have the list, right?

Thanks everyone for the help so far, still hoping someone can answer two of my other questions:
