Have you ever tried to buy something online with your epassporte and had the purchase rejected, heres a tip i noticed..

For some strange reason the expiry date is different for some vendors...

so my expiry date is 09/2007

but if i do the proper expiry date it says "rejected"

if i try it with the expiry dat as one month earlier the transaction goes thru fine.. ( had this happen with 3 seperate billers/sites recently, yet other billers work fine with the proper expiry date )

What I want to know is where do you get the security code for the vert visa cards? You can't buy anything online now days and not see the box asking for the 3 digit security number.

Log in to your account in the right-top-corner you'll see "log out" > left from it it says something like "15 new messages" > Click that link > look for "Important Notice - ePassporte Visa Virtual Renewal Information" or "Important Account Information" and open the mesage

I've had a epass account for some time now.. that message is long gone.

you can't delete it. If you deleted it before they converted to the new system you can mail them from within the message centre and ask to resend the message.

I rarely use my epass card online, just used it the other day to renew my anti-virus software and it went through fine. I'll try your tip in the future if the card gets rejected :)

Yes it was deleted a long time ago.

That sucks. Maybe you should contact Michael_O, but I'm afraid they will ask you to pass through the ID verification procedure. Contact him anyway, he's very helpful.

Funny thing that kind of fits in......

My step father has a CC that expired 3/07 and he got a new card in Feb.

His old card stopped working at the end of Feb. He called and they said it was the way they worked - the old card expired at the BEGINNING of the expiry month.

Maybe its a new thing they are bringing in?

i use the infos from the 1st mail from ePass and it is working... but i will remember this if will happen to be rejected :)
