YouTube open source type script?
 

Does anyone know where I can get a youtube open source type script? I need the code as I would like to make some major changes to the code. Please post URLs, working demos and prices.

I've heard http://www.clip-share.com/ is pretty good.

It seems the biggest problem is that they all use the old version of .flv

You have to pay a fair lump sum to get a script with descent flv encoding as it is licensed by a third party.

It has been a few months since I looked so that may have changed - but, it seemed pretty locked in.

Also, if I upload a 10 MEG file how much BW is that in a flash player? What is the ratio?

i developed one that simply hosts the embeddable YouTube, dailymotion, etc. clips.

doesn't quite do FLV encoding yet. like another poster said, the trick is to find a kick ass encoder.

one site doing 10k / day with it another few on their way...

eventually will sell it for $97 a pop community edition or $297 for advanced features.
