Hi all ! i i have Tiffanypreston.com .net.us.biz but i got someone is making some stuff n my back and he purchase .org and . info
What will be your advise ? thanks |
are they affiliate?
|
i think it is
www.Tiffanypreston.org www.Tiffanypreston.info but he is grabbing the affiliates traffic it hink :( |
Yeah its fine if he is an affiliate......
Make sure he is.... |
yah, as long as he is an affiliate its really not that bad because any sale he makes you will still make money...
just sucks that you didn't grab those domains yourself so you wouldn't have to pay him on the sales he makes for you... oh well, as long as he's an affliate it doesnt matter... |

I think you'll find that you are just going to have to live with it unless you are prepared to pay the extortionate fee this guy will undoubtedly want for his .org and .biz versions of your domain name unless of course he starts using copywrited content without your permission then you could cause trouble for him. |

Yeah he's sending you the traffic. But I would build a relationship with him, get in contact see how what he does to bring you traffic, help him update is page with good content.
If he's happy and works hard then more business for you. |
But on another note, if it helps his marketing and makes him stick with your program it's not that bad. You could always send a FRIENDLY email explaining that you have the Tiffany Preston brand and that all traffic should go to your program.
|
I dont think its a bad thing at all..
Those domains wont get any typeins... No way they will. This is a pure marketing and sales label for the guy to promote your stuff.. Hopefully he's good at it. Normally you'd like to save those domains for a heavy hitter affiliate.... |

YEah I saw that. I went through it to see. But it doesnt seem to do harm. He does it with a lot of sites I notice. Naughty Allie is one of em. And it actually looks good. You should ask him to make yours better too. Look at the page he did for her. http://www.naughtyallie.ws/ NOt bad.. I bet he makes sales off that.. Helps her and him. |
Hopefully this guy has some decent traffic.
If he does he should make some ok sales for ya.. But I dont see how he gets much traffic. |
i will keep an eyes on it :)

I wouldn't worry about it, they won't get type in so any traffic to them would not of been yours in the first place. And it will get you more traffic for free actually.
But it's called cyber squatting and is mostly pointless unless he gets listed higher in the se's then you. Which since your site is older and a .com your solid. :winkwink: |
like everyone else said, dosent look like he is doing any harm, actually doing you good for marketing.
unless you plan on spending a few hundred dollars on domains, this will always be an issue. someone will buy the .jp, .co.uk, .tl, etc As long as you have the .com that is the best. do some SEO for your .com site to make sure you stay above your affiliates. I see a lot of people that dont... honestly i do the same thing and I have rankings for the names of sites above the acutal site, sometimes not on purpose either. As long as you are sending them sales and not doing anything shady, what is the problem? |
If he knows what he's doing (and i'm sure he does) those urls will show up before yours in the SE's.
Be greatful he's at least trying to sell ya. Being a new site you need all the help you can get. |
That's good to know
