Problems setting up mySQL in WebAir?
Anyone have any problems setting up mySQL dbs in Webair? I managed to set up only one, but now, when I try to add another I get one of two messages 1) Illegal characters in db name or 2) db name already exists.
There are no illegal characters and the db name is not repeated. I am not too versed at mySQL and possibly I am just boning it. No response in 3 days from Webair tech support about this. Anyone offer any suggestions? |
Have you tried their live support?

3 days is a long time for a database to be created.

You probably exported from a post-4.0 format, which supports non-ASCII chars. The easiest fix would be to re-export from phpMyAdmin with the 'compat' set for 4.0, or 3.23.
When I used WebAir shared, I had to make a PHP script to use system(mysql < file ) to upload my data; it'd timeout before phpMyAdmin would return.. and was only about 200k. :( |

considering it takes less than 5 seconds. |
Been setting up databases for myself and clients on webair for a while now, never had a problem, I've used several different panels, I like the one at webair the best
