White House Needs to Hire Lengendary Lars as Press Secretary
 

wow - i've never seen anybody in this biz or out of it this bad at handling public relations. first he makes one of the most offputting and insulting statements defending his company's use of Zango advertising claiming in his own words that he was 'forced into it' and had no other options.

now when he has the prime opportunity to save some face as his company decides to end doing business with Zango which I am sure they have known for weeks if not monyhs the best spin he can come up with is:

'With all the promotion of Zango over the last few months so many new affiliates and ad buyers have signed on to promote and buy ads from Zango, they have driven the price of traffic up so much that it is no longer profitable for us to continue buying ads from Zango.'

this isn't honesty here, this is a monumental display of hubris. he could have said 'we have rethought our stance on Zango after listening to the concerns of our valued affiliates over the last few months. we have decided that will no longer be doing business with Zango, our relationships with our affiliates are more important. we hope to regain the trust of those who disagreed with us.'

instead he says 'Hey! We found out we really can't make money buying the traffic stolen from you guys so what the fuck - we ain't gonna do it anymore! Had we been able to keep making a profit aiding and abetting those that steal your traffic would we have continued to do so? YOU BETCHA SUCKAZ!!!!!'

seriously, i've never seen anything like this. the other partner in AFF/Cams must not read GFY is all I can make of it or has absolutely no control over Lars.

Not to defend him... but... had he of lied, would it have made any difference? People would have just believed what they wanted to believe and hate him for lying about it too.

There's no real way to win in his scenario on this one. At least with honesty, some people can say "at least he's honest."

Anyway, no, I'd guess that no one there has any control over Lars. He's put himself into more than enough of a position to do what ever he likes. I'd think his relations with Zango this long would prove that.

Rather than focus on the negative of it, just enjoy the fact that this must be a huge shot in the arm to the Zango lowlifes. I bet it's a huge chunk of coin they'd lose out on from not having the AFF program/affiliates to depend on.

i think in part he said this to try and make people think that by bringing attention to zango, they are only making them more popular. which i'm sure its true to some extent but still, this is one issue where he has let his emotions bleed through and said some pretty stupid things.
