no this was in Big Sur, but I did live in Bakersfield for 4 years also.

i recently drove threw big sur on hwy1.. it blew me away that ranch land extended all the way to the shore! cows on the beach! in california! that blew my mind. i expected to see state parks, resorts and cities instead. nice place though.

The trick in life is to be content in the here and now, no matter what you have, you can choose to be happy in any situation, I was just as happy hten as I am now, money does not change how I feel inside.
