Where to buy suits?
I need to buy a couple of new suits, but don't know where to look.
I don't want the kind that will make me look like a 45 year old businessman. (No offense to any 45 year old businessmen who may be reading this) I want something nice, and modern. Any suggestions? |
if your looking for something inexpensive but still pretty decent, try JC Penny. I was suprized, but you can get something decent for $200-300.
depending on where you from, most places have "suit outlets" just be careful of what you buy because most are garbage. if you live in or around LA stay AWAY form the fashion district for suits |
i had a suit made at armani in cannes, france that is pretty comfortable (both times i wore it).

you can be like franck and buy it from a streetvendor on the corner, and pretend that it's the best suit ever

italian or british? |
First you need to understand that mainstream high end labels such as hugo boss, armani etc are pure shit when it comes to suit quality. They may be better then your average suit but they do not justify their prices. So basically ignore any mainstream designer brand.
If you are looking for a more modern suit then established suit brands like Brioni or Kiton is the way to go. Then again that will set you back about 4-5 k after you have gotten it altered. |
Jermyn street in London is pretty good. look to pat about 2-3k for a tailored suit.
|
Go down to Vegas,
go to the venetian or Caesars palace. from anywhere from 1k-3k (I'm sure you could go higher) you can get a very nice, professional suit that will look 100 times better than anything yo ucan get at menswherehouse. |
