Just Bought My New "Cottage Hauler" (Pics)

Yep, I have been "hymming and hawwing" over buying one of these for a while and today being such a nice day I finally decided to take the plunge. :)

2007 Cadillac Escalade ESV

It's absolutely FULLY loaded! Every option I wanted plus it has the trailer package so I can tow my toys. Now we won't have to cram our kids and dog into our tiny BMW X5 when we head up to the cottage for the weekend. :)

I'm super stoked and I pick it up when I get back from Phoenix Forum :)

DH

P.S. Now would some of you guys start buying more ads so I can pay for this fucking thing now LOL! ;)

AD_Jake 03-27-2007 07:58 PM

Trust me I will never EVER buy a car unless it has built in tv's. It's like buying a car without tires LOL!

So long as I don't need to bring my car up there, that kind of terrain doesn't sit well with a sportscar.

Careful where you park those things. They are always on the top 10 most stolen vehicle lists. People strip shit off those cars so quick, its really unbelievable. Front Grill, side blinkers, the mirrors, the motors inside the mirrors + 25 other things.

My friend has one, we came out from lunch a couple weeks back and his side mirrors were missing.

candyflip 03-27-2007 08:24 PM

What size boat are you towing with it? I just read that in Canada they're going to be charging a tax of $4000 on all SUVs. Did you get to avoid that?

Sosa 03-27-2007 08:54 PM

nice ride, I prefer the ext myself.

But thanks for the advice!

I didn't see a $4000 extra charge on my invoice? Maybe they apply it on next year's vehicles?

I have a 17" powerboat and 2 snowmobiles... I am in the midst of doing research on buying 2 seadoos for my cottage.

The EXT is nice, however I am not crazy on how close it looks to the Avalanche... Too much plastic on that truck to be honest.

DH's idea of a spinner is a 19 year old twink who weighs about 85 pounds

Pete-KT 03-27-2007 09:35 PM

Buddy just got the exact truck, tint the front windows, make the look so much sharper, not that its nto sharp already

I've got one myself and at our family cottage each summer there are no less than 4 at all times. Our ski boat pretty much sits. Now you need a big party boat :winkwink:

TheDatingNetworkCameron 03-27-2007 10:52 PM

Too bad the guy who went with you to the dealership couldn't convince you to buy the ferrari instead.

Man there always have to be some haters in the crowd... You can't just say "hey man, nice truck I hope you enjoy it!".

Yes we do software distribution for legitimate software, legit being software where you know exactly what you are installing before you install it, it's easy to remove and once you uninstall the software it's gone from your computer forever. The kind of software people WANT and are searching for, not the kind that is malliciously installed on your computer.

And BTW we have ALOT more than 1 million hits a day... How many hits do you have?

Thanks for the "considerate" post.

LOL! Not good but luckily I don't need to fill up all that often. My Infiniti is 2 years old and I only have 35,000 kms on it. That includes a 5k trip to the east coast of Canada and back.

I just wonder, do they even give the liter/100km slash MPG numbers on that car?

I noticed at a recent auto show, Hummer didn't even bother to put the digits on the H2 info sheet - the H3 (with the significantly smaller engine) got like 11 MPG.

bogo 03-27-2007 11:50 PM

Sweet ride DH..Congrats, maybe we can hook up for a drink sometime and maybe i can help towing your toys. :winkwink:
