MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. -- A man who robbed a Minneapolis bank made the liquor store his next stop, then went into a sandwich shop and finally made his getaway on a bus.
The robber who held up a Wells Fargo branch last week was seen a few minutes later buying a bottle of liquor at a liquor store next door to the bank, said FBI special agent Paul McCabe.
The bank robber, who was alone, smelled of liquor and waived a silver handgun wrapped in a baseball cap when he handed a teller a note demanding money. He left the bank on foot with an undisclosed amount of cash and headed to the liquor store next door, the FBI said.
Witnesses said the robber also patronized a nearby sandwich shop before boarding a Metro Transit bus.
The FBI is looking for a black male who is approximately 35 years-old, 5 feet 9 inches tall, 200 pounds with a stocky build. When last seen, the robber was wearing a light-colored baseball cap, a navy or black windbreaker, black pants, white sneakers, glasses and had earrings in both ears.
