Fourth Porn Site And 93 Trojans

I did something today I rarely do and that was actually surf a few porn sites.
I started on a very large and popular site and only clicked on trades. No galleries. By the time I hit the 4th site AVG went nuts and my machine locked up. Sales aren't that easy to come by these days.
If I was a surfer and that happened to me,I'd never surf pornsites again.

CHECK YOUR TRADES

That sucks.

:Oh crap :Oh crap :Oh crap

yup, tried that a few days ago too

some VERY big named tgp owners that surf this forum and always claim their sites are clean are trading with some shady site owners, that is for sure

DamageX 03-27-2007 10:06 AM

It took you a full four clicks to get that?

A friend came over a couple days ago. He had gotten his first laptop and knew nothing about how to use email, browsers, etc.

Once I got him set up I asked him what he wanted to do on the Internet. He suggested visiting some porn sites. I told him to stay away from them as he would soon have a non-functional laptop.

Best advice you can give somebody like that is to use Opera. You know he is just going to surf the porn sites anyways, this way his laptop won't get screwed and he won't be calling you to fix it.

Set him up with Firefox

Set him up with nod32 for a virus scanner... it's updated at least once a day

One would think that with all the webmaster support businesses that have sprung up over the years, someone would start a service that polices these sites and notifies everyone on that sites trade list.
I know it would clearly be worth something to me and the surfers that visit my sites.

Hey,
Could you icq me at 173 198 596 please.
I run trades for a lot of big sites and would wanna see if any of the dirty sites you mentioned are in my trades, so I could delete them right away. Thanks in advance.

I just found a trog loading from one of my tgps, anyone good at running them down and help me get rid of it? $$

Thats one of the things about trades. How many people review not only the site asking for a trade, but every other site he trades with, and so on, and so on, and so on? Very few I would think.

Even if you review the site before trading, how often can you revisit it?

There are a lot of smart computer guys around here. Maybe one of them will take the ball and run with it. The upside to giving our customers a quality surfing experience is worth it. We aren't dealing with an infinite amount of customers anymore. It would be cheap insurance and I would have no problems paying a monthly service fee for it.

If you weren't around in 97 and 98 you don't remember how easy it was to make lots of sales with just a simple 468x66 banner. We didn't try and fuck up our customers computers back then and we all made a lot more $$.

I agree so here's a bump for the tech savvy.
