Euro / UK Adobe CS3 pricing
 

The euro/uk pricing for the new CS3 apps is ridiculous:

CS3 Design Premium is $1599.99 USD

Same package here in the UK is £1655.58, that equates to $3251 USD at current exchange rates.

And they wonder why people pirate this shit? :-/

Fuck it ... I have a client in the USA who's happy to buy and send me Photoshop CS3 when it's released. I'm not putting up with those prices.

Better to get the more inexpensive US version of course. And it's always cheaper to upgrade if you have a qualifying previous version. Otherwise if you attend school or can provide a U.S. student i.d. card (or reasonable facsimile thereof, he he) showing that you attend University you can often save a lot of money that way.

I was taking language courses at a local college a couple of years ago and I qualified to save half price on Photoshop CS2 with the student discount available in many online stores.

wow, that's expensive as heck. Stick to CS2!

I presume that's for an entire suite?

I personally think Photoshop (by itself) is overpriced... the OS that it runs under is probably more complex, yet it sells for about a fifth of the price that Photoshop does.

Having said that, I did purchase CS2, but more because of the user support - you can find a zillion tutorials on the net - rather than it being anything sensational.
