Some drivers passing by on Illinois Route 98 on Saturday morning may have been shocked to see a bright "Porn and Pancakes" poster outside New Life Christian Church - along with a van from *********.com parked in its lot.
But despite what they may have concluded from the eye-catching advertising, P&P was geared toward spreading knowledge about problems associated with pornography and getting those who are addicted help, said Joshua Trueblood, New Life's community life pastor.
"We realized this was an issue - with our guys, with our kids, with our families. It's tearing them apart," said Trueblood, noting the idea for New Life's first-ever P&P had taken shape in November. "There's a lot of shame associated with (pornography)."
About 280 teenagers and men from Morton and surrounding communities devoured nearly 1,200 pancakes while eagerly awaiting a testimony of faith from ex-pornography producer Donny Pauling.
Pauling, a Californian who'd produced porn for nine years, is one of Gross' fantasy-turned-faith results. Before he left the industry in September 2006, he'd kept his job hidden from his now ex-wife while making about $4,000 per day. (NOTE: Annually that works out to almost $1.5 million - notice how Donny's wealth keeps going up, and no mention of Belinda, LOL).
Pauling said that continued until a moment of realization during a magazine photo shoot last year led him to gain a renewed sense of his once-hated religion. He also had support from Gross and *********.
Now, Pauling is speaking again with his wife and has healed past family issues. But he bumps into girls he's worked with often. Luckily, many of them have also turned to faith and, like Pauling, never plan to return to the industry.
"They're your wives, they're your girlfriends, they're your sisters, they're your daughters," he said. "If you look at it from that perspective, it's very easy to resist."

No mention of "The Game", Donny shooting porn with himself in it, or anything elese that resembles the actual truth of his story.
Basically, he gets paid to lie, and has the audacity to call himself a Christian, as he bashes porn and the industry, while whitewashing his own past.
