WINDOWS MEDIA player, playing in sttupid florescant colours only! pleas help
 

Hello whenever i play a video in windows media the colour fucks up and plays florescant, how can i change this? it has happend before but i cant remember what i did!

look at the top right hand side of your monitor, you'll see that along the right edge it's flat. Measure down about 3.25 inches and give it a firm tap right along that edge. If that doesn't work give it a good solid OPEN-HANDED slap on the top edge AT EXACTLY CENTER of the monitor. If that doesn't work try a closed fist and use the pinky edge of your fist it has a lot more padding there which should protect the monitor but still deliver enough force to 'jolt' the wires or whatever the fuck it does into the center of the monitor.

That's basically what you want to do. Apparently wires come loose inside and you have to (for lack of a better word) 'HIT' the monitor so the wires go back together and then it fixes monitors.

At least that's what my old man did to our TV as a kid and it always seemed to work.

before i go bashing in my pc at 12 at night, how come the videos work in real player, vlc and others but not windows media? :Oh crap

but yeh usually hitting something in the right places gets it right lol

there is a black thing that connects your computer to the wall. pull that out.

p.s. i have now worked out it is only media from the internet it wont play properly, streaming :Oh crap

Scotty, vould it be that maybe the site that uploaded that shit uploaded it wrong? Wrong mode maybe? Or encoded it improperly? Or maybe theis shit isn't setup for streaming? Have you tried downloading it and running it from your own machine? Is it all sites? Or just that one site?


I guess that means you'll have to go buy a DVD instead of trying to whack off to free samples.

no this is a common problem on all sites i stream from.. grrrrrrrrrrrrrr. anyway, load is blown :winkwink: . will try and conqour it tomrrow
