What's with this facebook thing?
 

I hate all these stupid "friend" sites... they're really starting to annoy the hell out of me.
I've had 3 people send me "I've added you as my friend on facebook" crap. How'd you do that if I have never even been to that site!?!?!

I think the secret to avoiding these sites is to not have friends. I may have to work on that in the future if this trend continues.

hmmm. I used to hate all those sites too with a passion. I don't use myspace for example. But facebook has really taken off, so I signed up for it, and I actually use it a lot. whY? I decided to give it a fair chance, and I got in touch with people from wayyy back in my past, found out what everyones doing, I think its a helpful networking tool. You can add tons of photos and keep people updated like that, pl,us see other peoples photos etc.. It's also a good way to stay in touch with people who you wouldn't talk to that often but now can. So yeah, its a load of shit if you're eager enough to make a big effort by yourself, or if you dont care about reconnecting/staying in touch with people who aren't in your tight circle, but so far I've found facebook to be a useful and fun tool. Just my opinion though, I know a lot of people hate it.

my girlfriend recently got into facebook, seems everyone is on there but the way they were able to add you as a friend is facebook allows users to enter their user/pass for their email address and it will load everyone listed in their contacts and automatically send an email out to everyone. its somewhat annoying.

I admit it, I'm hooked! I got in touch with an old buddy. He's now running a tanning salon around the corner from me. I'm getting free tans now.

It's not bad, but there are some people who I don't want to run into again.
