Xbox360 Elite Black Coming Soon !!
http://crave.cnet.co.uk/gamesgear/0,...9288755,00.htm
Well, it looks like Microsoft is looking to take more of our money with this new version of the 360. It looks pretty kick ass in black, it has a 120-gig hard drive, HDMI support, and it runs cooler/quieter with a retail of $479. What happend to the good old days of consoles where you'd buy a system and it'd last you a few years. What the hell are Microsoft gonna do next, upgrade the processor and graphics engine ?? It's kinda stupid in a way though how they're pushing the price up towards the price of a PS3. When you compare the 360 Elite with the PS3 and the $20 price difference, the PS3 is definately the better deal. If they were smart, they would've put the HD DVD drive on it. |
looks nice ;) wonder how long until the ps3 goes down in price.
on another note, can you hit me up slick, 345801040 |
pimped out 360 :D

I'll just stick with my current xbox 360 and get some skins for it.. Mine runs very quiet already. No 120gb hard drive, but that's no biggy.

It's almost like it's become a status symbol anymore...

60gig PS3 is still $599 And lets not forget these are gaming systems, with no AA the PS3 is a joke. |
but it plays all the same games as the cheaper version right?

"Unfortunately, Microsoft will not include an HD DVD drive or built-in Wi-Fi." HD-DVD $200 wi-fi $100. Total cost $779. PS3 with blu-ray and wi-fi. $600. Sure that new 360 has 120 GB HDD, but I can go to wal-mart and buy an 120 GB notebook drive for $140. |

the original one is just fine. Most people don't even have HDMI TV's, or will use up the smaller HD that comes with the original one.

If you're going to use a walmart drive on the PS3, there's no reason to buy the overpriced MS wifi Xbox360 Elite $479 HD-DVD addon $199 band x wireless ap ~$50 Total $728 60gig PS3 $599 Walmart drive $140 Total $739 :) |
So long as they sell the 120 gig drives, I'm happy without HDMI.

The HDMI and extra hdd space will mainly only be for those that download alot of movies/tv shows off Live. And with HDMI it will be able to upconvert normal DVD's to 720p/1080i |
Consoles are becoming worse than mobile phones for having to have a new one every other week.
