Interesting thread if people actually reply with honest amounts.

Alot of variables to take in to account.

Come on guys, let's see some figures! I'm honestly really interested because I'm starting up a paysite on a low budget (about $10,000) but I think it will rock... My projections are a few hundred members the first month (hope this is reasonable!!)

Anyway I'd love to see anyones first month numbers... any HUGE success stories, how about failures that needed to be adjusted?

thanks bros:pimp

Honestly, when Jen's site first opened in 2005 she got 30 members the first month. But that was with a ridiculously small amount of content, no promotion and only 7410 uniques for the entire month.

Good luck with the launch

I would guess that is way to high, unless you plan on spending 99% of that $10k budget on advertising, or have a ton of people that are going to promote the shit out of your program.

dont take it the wrong way, but i wouldnt says 100's the first month, unless its something that differs greatly from what is currently out there.

best of luck tho, let us know how it goes

We were free for a year so we had built up a small following and I would have to ask my wife but I think the first month we went pay we had about 80 members. If your looking for a windfall profit quickly on your investment, a paysite isnt for you. Your about 8 yrs too late.

I've started many paysites for a fraction of your $10,000 and been successful then and now.

It's been a few years since my last one, so it's hard for me to recall off the top of my head, but I would guess between 30-40 maybe the first month? Some higher, some lower.

But I also used some techniques to build the momentum before launch. So when the site went live, I already had customers ready to sign up.

:2 cents:
