How long does it take for goole to remove the "This site may harm your computer" tag
My host was hacked and my sites had a virus thing put onto it a couple weeks ago. As soon as I told them they removed it but google still has a couple of my sites tagged with that. I know they have that new review system which I have filled out but still waiting.

It takes 2 weeks to 1 month on average. Their may be a way to resubmit your site, or try verifying your site if you haven't.

"You can find out if your site has been identified as spreading malicious software ("badware") by checking the Summary page for the site in webmaster tools. (Note, you need to verify site ownership to see this information.)"
and "All appeals and reviews are handled by StopBadware.org. Please send an email to [email protected] explaining why you think your site was mistakenly identified or how you have modified your site." http://www.google.com/support/webmas...y?answer=45432 |
Hmm... that is something new to me. Nice to see google doing something about installs and whatnot... sucks you were the target though Sarah. :ohcrap

My site got hacked and I got the same warning. I corrected it a couple of weeks ago and requested a review but it is still tagged by google as 'This site may harm your computer'. I don't seem to be getting many hits from google at the moment.. :)

Had a friend with a TGP that had that happen and it took about a month to remove it after filing the appeal

Does anybody know if you get notified when it has been lifted or you just have to guess?
