"Hey Shooters"

As a newb getting into filming Id like to hear back on equipment you like and dislike.
Cameras for stills and movs lighting ect....(favorites you use)
Im personally thinking on buying a Fuji FinePix S9100 9MP 10.7x Zoom Digital Camera. Is this not a wise move?
Also any advice on getting into the business would help me out

Thank you:upsidedow

NaughtyRob 03-26-2007 03:56 PM

Get a Canon30D, they are not so expensive.

Yes, very nice, but too bad I can't afford it. They cost 26 thousand. :(
But, that's the one I want when I can buy it.

tony286 03-26-2007 04:23 PM

you want to go with canon or nikon, you can get a lesser model but the lens you buy will stay with you for a long time and last many upgrades.

LiveDose 03-26-2007 05:25 PM

5k and under? Listen to Tony.

Bloomer 03-26-2007 06:16 PM

thanks for the info :thumbsup
I do like Cannon for the lens power and Nikkon for duribility.

Canon 5D
Canon 24-70 f2.8 lens

Well within your budget.

AaronM 03-26-2007 06:26 PM

Not sure what you are shooting but the 5D may be WAY overkill. The 30D might be a better choice for you and it will save you a lot of money.

Hey thanks for the reveiw link:thumbsup
the only reason I looked into the Fuji FinePix S9100 was the price seems like (all inexpensive SLR)cams are about the same in comparison.(they all suck compared to the more expensive ones.)
Way too many problems with white balance low light ect...
I can buy this cam from a friend for 150$

Until I get a higher end cam I think it will be ok.

P.S I currently have over 20 cams and each one to me offers something
a little different than the next.:thumbsup
