Banned from Google - Bad News Data Centers?
Hey, i have a question for people with SEO experience... and anybody who has a clue.
I have a dedicated server at a shitty high-abuse datacenter (i.e.: FDC Networks) - are web sites hosted on IPs from data centers such as these LESS likely to be indexed as top results on Google? I have some very high profile domains which deserve first page placement, but don't want to get them "sandboxed" (is that the correct term?), by hosting them at the wrong place. Any feedback would be much appreciated. |
yes, hosting them with certain hosts whose ip addresses are banned can effect your listings....sometimes their entire class of ip addresses are banned...sad

Hrmm.. Seems like hosting with ANY adult adult (non-mainstream) oriented data center would be risky for a mainstream domain development..
Problem becomes, mainstream hosting companies often charge an arm and a leg for bandwidth/resources.. Any suggestions? |

on google blacklists.. spam lists, etc.

Typically no, but i'm going to guess that google is less likely to give high indexing to web sites hosted on IPs from high abuse datacenters with uptime problems (why would google send traffic to results which have a high failure rate upon clickthrough - it diminishes the quality of their results)..
