Just got back from seeing The Donald...

He didn't inspire me like I'd have liked, but he is still one hell of a speaker! He's funny as hell, and he has quite the dirty sense of humour too... which was great.

Also, it was refreshing to see a speaker at a show like this actually acknowledge that sometimes, it really does come down to luck. And that yes... sometimes you really do feel like crap. And that can't be helped.

Others would have you believe that you have to do away with both to be successful.

He's a great entertainer. And his daughter... Mmm

Where was the event?

SilentKnight 03-25-2007 09:18 PM

Heard on the news tonight he gets $1.5 mil per speaking engagement on that circuit tour he's on lately.

Poor guy. Such a pauper. :1orglaugh

tony286 03-25-2007 09:23 PM

does he tell you the importance of having daddies banking and government contacts to start off ? lol

That sounds a little high...

He reportedly gets $375,000 per episode for "The Apprentice", for the 15 minutes or so that he is on.

Looks like it was at a college

I still don't like Trump

SinisterStudios 03-25-2007 10:18 PM

In NYC? I know i got tickets mailed to me for it but not into motivational speakers much. Id love to nail his daughter though

Drake 03-25-2007 10:22 PM

The Apprentice is the best thing on TV. Kudos to Trump.

8ball 03-26-2007 12:42 AM

that was at exhibition place in Toronto. He does have a dirty humor but sometimes crosses the line.

Tony Robbins was there day before and the place was off the hook. Amazing experience

JFK 03-26-2007 02:59 AM

They are doing a series of motivational speakers here in the Toronto area, tru the Learning Annex:thumbsup

Sarah_Jayne 03-26-2007 03:20 AM

My cousin shared a room with his son at boarding school. The gardeners were really security guards.

Poon 03-26-2007 03:39 AM

I wonder how much hes getting for his wrestlemania promo..

StuartD 03-26-2007 05:49 AM

The best part was how he walked out swinging... first thing he mentioned was Rosie and what he thought about her. And damn, it was funny as hell!

And yes, the best part of the entire convention (72 seminars) was Tony Robbins. Man that guy can get a crowd going and man, can he get you feeling great about yourself! He's like a drug.

Trump was a good story teller, and worth seeing, but like I said, he didn't inspire me much or teach me anything.. except to "think like a winner."

As for those of you asking "what kind of people go to those"... well, many people were lawyers, doctors, business owners.... and a LOT of people actually were shelling out the thousands of dollars to join their programs. So out of the 50k people there, or so... they weren't all losers. They were actual people who were doing well that wanted to do better.

I was invited (as was 99% of Atlanta I'm sure) to his session here. I equate them to Baptist revivals.

ROFL, come on, really? Ivanka was friends with my girlfriend in highschool (they went to summer school at Choate together or something), and when we went to the movies or out to dinner as a group, there were never any "tails" or anything like that. Maybe he's just more protective of his son than his daughter, ha!

shoeaholicanon 03-26-2007 07:05 AM

yeah, he's a good speaker actually.

SxDx 03-26-2007 07:07 AM

They were the helpers who were everywhere, so if you had questions, you just look for the people with the "FUN" shirts and they could help you.

But when it came time for prizes or feature speakers, such as Donald, you could find them all there.

I would like to go to one of these, just to see what he's saying. I liked his apprentice shows a lot.

Really..at the Hill School. The up side of it was that my cousin got to go on a lot of really cool trips when they became friends and my aunt never really worried about him skipping out of his room past curfew.lol. That said, there are a LOT of rich guy's kids at the Hill School so I am not sure how much of that was just for him or if my cousin only noticed it because of who he shared his room with that year.

Tanya_AWP 03-26-2007 08:18 AM

Sure has a lot of people in attendance....what did you learn? willing to share?

Domain Distribution 03-26-2007 09:14 AM

Drive carefully. It's not only cars that can be recalled by their maker.

Did you hit up any of the other seminars or keynote speeches? I was there all day yesterday, checked out a few of the Real Estate guys.. and one insane retard from The Secret.

The main problem I had with the whole weekend is that each 'seminar' was just a sales pitch for the upsell to some stupidly expensive self help product.

Also, it was VERY cultish - especially the people from The Secret - they use tried-and-true indoctornation techniques.. it was kind of scary actually.

Yes, Raymond Aaron actually inspired some people to the point where they called every tv, radio and newspaper company in the city to chastize the guy for being a scam artist. His infomercial was horrible, and out right lied to everyone repeatedly through out it.

It sickens me how many people shelled out thousands at the end of his spew of crap.

Those people need to be walked off the edge of a cliff.

porno jew 03-26-2007 09:34 AM

looks like a cult to me. no thanks.

Luck?
He's going to need a lot of it this weekend at WM or he will look like this.
