wtf is an A-B-C trade ?

:question

kane 03-24-2007 03:49 AM

it basically means you link site A to site B and site B to site C. It's not a typical link trade, it is a way to build incoming links without recips.

More Booze 03-24-2007 03:50 AM

Person1 got site A and B

Person2 got site C and D

A links to C

D links to B

so they don't link to eachother from the same site.

Atleast that's what I think it is. :S

CyberHustler 03-24-2007 03:56 AM

I personally get annoyed with ABC links

Sarah_Jayne 03-24-2007 03:57 AM

you link to a person's site and they give you a recip link but it is on a different site than the one you linked to

Zester 03-24-2007 04:14 AM

got it.

so this guy ICQ's me asking me to link to one of his sites (site A) and offers to link to my site from a different one (site B).
ok.

now I have a theory about why he wouldn't want to just do a normal trade, but why do you think he is doing it ?

It benefits both of you to have non recips. They hold more weight in the se's than recips :2 cents:

It is ABCD.

In ABC, One person own site A and other person own B and C -- So first person link to B from his site A and second person give favor back by linking from C to A.

It used to efficient way till last year, Google can detect such techniques now (in most cases if not all). We should look find another better way :pimp

because you both get non-reciprocal links

any incoming link to your site that DOESN'T have a link going back to that site, is a GREAT thing

He is trying to help you both have a better quality link in the eyes of the search engines.

An ABC trade is when newbies asking about ABC trades learn the ABC of exchanging links ...

EBORG9 03-25-2007 01:15 AM

This is not necessarily a plug, but Linking Network (for mainstream), and Link Cage (for adult/in my sig) work on almost the same principle, but a little more advanced. A Double Binary Link Exchange Matrix, where A links to Q, Q links to Y, Y links to E, and so forth.

thecrow 06-25-2007 10:28 PM

Correct me if I am wrong, but to use ABC linking, you would have to have another site besides the main one you are actually wanting the link to/from?
