yes and no. of course sales are the bottom line, but when ur new to this game like me, i would rather have a huge traffic day than getting one sale above average, because usually the next day the traffic will be the same level (touch wood). Then more sales start coming.

its not rocket science

make your pages CSS
SEO your urls so google can read it easier
Buy backlinks from high PR sites for 10-20$/month each and dont have any outgoing links
Do the meta tags and <h1> shit etc etc
