Austin, Houston or Phoenix or Vegas?
 

Any of you fuckers live in any of these towns? I'm moving out to one of them soon and want some opinions. Feel free to ICQ me about it.

Haven't decided yet. Trying to decide. Want opinions from people who live there or have in the past.

KimmyKim's right Texas is one hot mutha fucka. But it's a dry heat. And honestly, I'd go where Wizzo is hiring.

Wizzo's a great guy. Now if I could just get him to hook me up with his financial advisor, I'd be set!

never move to Vegas. got outta there 5 weeks ago.. and i don't regret it a bit.
low cost of living, low coporate taxes... but still, not worth a damn!

Wizzo is right, Houston is kick ass! I lived there for a couple of years. Austin is extremely cool too but it's so much smaller so it gets boring quickly. Let me warn you though, it is hotter than anything you are prepared for and unlike northern Texas it stays at 100% humidity all the time! If you have a convertible you will feel like you are driving through a steam bath at night!

It's still all worth it. Great city!

Um, what the hell are you smoking! Humidity in austin is usually over 50%, typically 70-85 percent! Houston is even more humid!

austin is a great place to live. college town, we have the legislature here every two years, lots of little things to do. Vegas would be my second choice.

Texas is nice but the heat+humidity is fucking killer nasty.

I lived in Texas 25 or so years and I tell ya its a hot nasty fucker with really fucked up storms. We just moved to Vegas, it has the same heat as texas but its dry. 110 feels like 98 its great and at night it's amazing. Sit out and drink some beers and have to put a sweet shirt on.

I guess cost of living is cheap here my house in Vegas would be an easy 3-4k a month where I lived in Texas. Vegas is the city of entertainment and some pretty large porn companies make home here.

The only dislike of vegas right now is .... hmmm ... can't think of any. Oh ya..Internet is fucking stupid here :) Well with Cox cable at least I will be changing to DSL quick like.

Houston is a cool place... it is humid as fuck.. but it is probably the coolest place to live on your list

Unless you're an old man or a 9 year old kid, Austin is kickass place to live. Sixth street is a happening place, not to mention there's 60,000 college students at UT, and Texas college girls are the hottest in the world (and you wouldn't believe how they dress with the weather down here). Come down here and I'll hook you up with passes into all of the frat parties (or at the very least, all my MY frat's parties)

All you other Austin people WORD UP!

they're all pretty cool cities.

parts of texas are very dry but houston and austin are not in those parts. vegas and pheonix are dry climates. houston is downright sticky.

austin has a most excellent music scene. vegas is vegas. houston is fucking big and well, phoenix has lightspeed.

Houston - too humid
Austin - cool city; my best friends live there
Las Vegas - I think I'm the only pornmonger on the planet who has never been to Vegas
Phoenix - Just moved to Scottsdale, and although I think if it rained more often, many of the folks here would drown through their noses, I'm loving it. Dry heat rules!

Phoenix all the way -- yeah it's hot in summer, but really only July and August suck -- if you golf, like to do stuff outside, then the winter months are fantastic.
Pornmegabucks, Maxcash, Lightspeed, and alot more people are out here.

Houston? blech, the only redeeming factor is Wizzo lives there ;)

wrong....Texas is huuuuumid.

No shit...cable sucks ass...it is slow as hell and goes down for anywhere from 30 seconds to 5 minutes 5-10 times an hour...I kid you not.

Sprint is offering a package for $175 per month for 3.0mbps down and 512k up...I get hooked up on the 19th :)

Thanks everyone. I'm heading to Austin in Sept for the Austin City Limits festival and will take a drive down to Houston for a few days too. Thanks for your input but all the variety of opinions just make me more confused. Heh.

I Live In Vegas....Its like any other town without any real culture and too many people- cept youve got a adult disneyland right in the center of things.....
Its fun as hell - but can also get old fast - and the fucking tourists cant drive
its a good place to live for a few years..but dont retire here

I love Vegas and I don't gamble and am a light drinker....

Sure it's hot as a nun's ass in a pew right now, but nothing like it...lake Mead a few minutes one direction for water skiing and snowskiing a couple hours away at Mt. Chrleston....nothing like grabbing a couple ATV's and hitting the backside area of Lake Mead...

..and of course, if you're located near the UNLV area, amazing looking college honeys :)

phoenix sucks in the summer time and alright the other seasons. tempe is a cool college town. strip clubs usually close at 1am unless they have after hours and the clubs that do make the girls where bikinis. i would probably choose to live in las vegas because theres something to do 24hrs a day unlike here.
