I finally broke down and bought an Apple product
 

I keep killing MP3 players while I'm running, I guess I'm a sweaty man. In any case, I finally broke down and bought a Nano.

When I first entered the Apple store, I fealt a little bit dirty inside. Couples in Berkenstocks and publically displaying their love for each other, while gathered around Mac computers were staring me up and down like I was a cheeseburger at Jenny Craig's. I obviosly didn't belong.

I'm happy with the Nano, but that was one of the most uncomfrotable experiences in my life. It would have been just down right tragic but luckily for me there were a couple of nerdy guys window shopping and I fealt a lot better after pushing them around a bit.

somewhat unrelated, but Id like to know how hard it is to transition from windows to an Imac.

I just made the switch to a 20' Imac a few months ago.
You're totally gonna love it. Just make sure to go into the keyboard settings and switch the keys around so you don't have to deal with learning to get used to hit the apple key.

Productivity is so much better I actually ditched my dual display for the first time in 10+ years and don't feel handicapped ( until I boot into windows via bootcamp for the odd program that isn't available for OSX , Adobe Premiere for example )

You'll have to buy one to understand I guess, but you'll suddenly find yourself researching the company to find out just what the hell happened in the last 10 years that made apple so badass since you used those shitboxes in school.

I was so Anti-apple it was insane , and after a few too many dells and after checking out vista I said fuck it, and bought the mac .. I'll never go back.

Since then I've purchased a mac for my wife and we've stuck our old windows boxes in the basement as file servers.

Prices are dropping right now , right after I buy mine naturally.

As for working and switching etc .. It took a few days to get used to the command keys before I found out you can change them, From there it was bliss ..

Out of necessity, I work in both worlds, but I am most at home with my Macs - ease of use, speed, interface...

My adoration for my iPod has inspired me to contemplate purchasing a MacBook.

check out the special deals they update nightly on the apple online store. they've been running a refurb macbook as low as 799 lately.

I have had an ipod for years until TCG sent me that Zune recently, and I have to say overall I am far more impressed with the Zune

I loved my ipod but it got stolen in LA :( I would LOVE to get a Zune to replace it though.
