Part of being an affiliate rep is putting up with this sort of abuse on a regular basis.

Dude you aren't just an affiliate rep. You are a hands on type that is well integrated with the program. Guys like you are very helpful and know what's what.

Another good example would be my boy Sherm. He's hands on, gets a little dirty sometimes. Dirty is ohhh so sexy.

Tom_PM 03-22-2007 01:12 PM

Well, it's nice to be in the 1% I have to say then.

SkeetSkeet 03-22-2007 01:17 PM

program owners who work hands on building and upkeeping are the best rep's

not people who aren't on location and just board whore ... my 2 cents

You'd be amazed how many program owners/operators have never built a website in their lives, or even know HTML. :thumbsup

That is why you are so successful :)
I really cant see it as sales though, I highly doubt there is some monster out sitting on a shitload of traffic who doesnt know who lightspeed or bangbus or playboy is. I see it less sales more customer service and if a affiliate manager is good at that they are worth their weight in gold in my humble opinion.

But I dont think I was hired because I made a lot of sales, so maybe not too, lol :error

On a serious note, some people aren't cut out to being affiliates. Its not easy work to make a living based on commission only and most people would rather a stable income. There's nothing wrong with it and I do find quite a few affiliate managers are experienced enough to be affiliates themselves.

Exactly, and this is true for many employees in general. Just because you work for somebody else, doesn't mean you don't know what you're doing. Many people just prefer to be employees.

Personally I can't imagine working for somebody else but I know quite a few people that would be able to run their own business but they decide not to for various reasons.
