7000+ uniques/day & no sales in 10 days - WTF?

My site (www . naturegirls . com) gets on average 7000+ visitors/day - 600 from Google and Yahoo - and I haven't made a sale in 10 days. Am I giving away too much content in the form of free hosted galleries? Or does my site just suck? I used to get a sale every few days on average (primarily via CCBill), but I noticed a drop starting in February, and this month has just been horrid even though my traffic has increased. According to my CCBill stats, people are still clicking but no one's buying. Any tips on how to make my website and/or ratios not suck would be welcome.

Maybe that's how it is or your affiliate program is cheating you ;) :upsidedow

I usually get 1500+ from simplenudes . com, 7-800 direct (repeat visitors?), and most of the rest from various toplist sites.

hey there

yes, maybe you need to test new waters with a sponsor. you have enough room to play there, definitely :)

good looking site, on the outside.. i'm not signing up to cyberage :P

peace

True, but I was expecting that once the traffic rolled in so would the sales (at least compared to when I first built it and had 0 traffic). That seemed to be the case until recently. Maybe I'm just freaking out over a temporary lull and I'll have 10 sales tomorrow.

Feel free to add your sites here http://www.diamondsexlinks.com :)

E.Kant 03-22-2007 08:15 AM

how much actual sponsor clicks did you get out of this 7000 visits / day ?

E.Kant 03-22-2007 08:24 AM

I just realized it is an AVS you are advertising for.
I personally don't believe they do sell this much nowdays.
If you wanna stick to it though, you might wanna tell the surfer
that he's gonna get much more sites to access.
Other than that the tour and the girls don't tease me enough.
I don't wanna see more of those girls if I have to pay for that.
In my eyes the tour is not appealing enough.

What I would suggest is this:
You change the sponsor. Aways from AVS , but take a regular sponsor with hot babes. I reccomend Dollars4Babes
they have really hot girls, and alot of hot content.
Make all links link to their tour. So your site would only tease the surfer , and the selling would be done by the actual tour. I think this would be far more effective than trying to sell a surfer with a tour like that to an AVS.
7000 Hits daily are nice and I believe they could make you a few sales a month, even if the qulity is not top notch ...

Good luck !

Thanks for all the helpful feedback so far. About 1/3 of my sales are through CyberAge, and 2/3 through CCBill affiliate programs (FEMJOY being my best seller until recently). Both have dried up for me. The reason I went with CyberAge is because I wanted to host my own niche content (outdoor softcore) but didn't want to have to add new content every couple of days - this isn't my day job, just a fun way to bring in some extra bucks.

The CyberAge Platinum program seemed like a good compromise - I could add my own new content once a month while CyberAge's more frequently updated content would add value for the subscriber. If there are some better alternatives, or if you think I could do better as a regular paysite with monthly or bi-monthly updates for a low price ($5/month?), let me know.

Thanks for the heads up on dollars4babes, but they don't seem to have much that would fit well with my site's outdoor niche (except perhaps 'Bikini Babes').

E.Kant 03-22-2007 02:57 PM

In my opinion it is just easier to sell a surfer to a paysite than to an AVS.
You get the content from the sponsor anyway, so you do not depend on your own content. And once you made the sale you don't need to worry about updates as this is the paysite owners job and you earn along the road as long as the surfer stays members (if you take RevShare).

So many paysites out there giving you so much content for a small monthly fee. I don't get the point in signing up for CyberAge anyway (from a surfers POV). When coming along with AVS I'd select other models like deluxepass or pornaccess .. they give you full length movies and dvds..

But this is my personal view only. There are certainly ppl making good money with cyberage etc. (I guess).

Good Luck!

nice site

mainah 03-23-2007 10:42 AM

Thanks Ben.

Based on the feedback so far, here's what I'm going to do:

1. Make my lame tour more sexy (or try to anyway).

2. Look into alternatives other than Cyberage/AVS that would allow me to continue providing my own custom content. PimpRoll has a "Build Your Own" feature, maybe it would be possible to add my site's content under their program? I'm going to try to get more details on that.

3. Look into new affiliate programs & sites to promote, as my old standby's seem to have lost their luster. Dollars4Babes does seem to have a few outdoor hosted galleries, maybe I'll give them a shot after all.

Thanks again to everyone who responded!

Still no signups since 3/11 :( - thank heavens for rebills!

horvy 03-23-2007 03:35 PM

you not a lot of work to make some sells.

First of all change programs. AVS sucks. Use a NEW and FRESH program.
Also, your design is no good. Its hard to navigate and i cant even find where to join and im looking for it. Make sure your visitors know WHERE they can join. try running it on wordpress, youll get better results.

why are you so eager to provide your own content anyway ? :)
take the free content offered by the sponsors. It is usually hotter that he one you have. You have 7K traffic a day. The content you offer right now might only be of interest to 50 of them, in comination with AVS to no one.

Would you sign up to your site after seeing some nude naked girls ?
You getmuch more for free on TGPs. So make it more general. Offer more different sponsors and niches to pick out. Maybe make a TGP out of that , but get rid of AVS and of the idea to stick to your content. ;)

Use the content for making galleries if you must re-use it somehwere .

Good luck :thumbsup

nice site :)
i love it

Pink-AE 03-25-2007 02:04 AM

Beautiful site. Nice layout and obviously well thought.

As a photographer I can understand you wanting to provide your own content. This looks like a good way to do it (without investing tens of thousands on models and setup)

Hope it picks up for you!

review your referring log files and target what your visitors are looking for ;

Several reasons:

1) My largest single source of traffic by far for some time now has been the simplenudes . com toplist - and only sites with unique content can be listed there.

2) I just like to. :) Call me crazy, but I think it's kinda fun to converse with photographers from around the world, shop around for content that matches my site's niche, and make it my own, rather than solely promote other people's sites. As to why I chose this particular niche - I'm an outdoorsy guy - I love naked girls, I love nature, why not combine the two?

One thing I'd like to emphasize is that I am trying to have it both ways - selling my own site content as well as others. My CyberAge sales have never been that spectacular (though the retention rate is astounding - once people sign up they almost never leave). It's my plummeting CCBill affiliate sales that really have me perplexed. I could usually count on an affiliate sale to femjoy . com or met-art . com every 2 or 3 days, but for the last 2 weeks - nothing. I just bought a subscription myself yesterday to make sure my affiliate links were working properly.

Thanks for the honest feedback horvy! Although I'm confused as to where the confusion arose over where to join. I have an "Enter Here [Join/Members]" link on the homepage, and a Join link on the top menu of nearly every other page. Is it the CyberAge form itself that is confusing? Or is it too low on the join page, and I should remove the text and photos above it so visitors don't have to scroll down to get to it?

As for wordpress, I actually am using it in my blog section, primarily to drive affiliate sales (and hopefully improve my search engine rankings as well); I also display photos and links to the most recent blog entries on my home page.

Hey mainah

You would most likely do not want to hear this but...

Your website layout for a commercial website is very weak... but for a private non commercial website it is very nice...

The problem is that nothing cries out buy me !!!! ... There are very nice pictures and I'm sure you had put in tuns of time on your site, however, even if you do not agree with me... this may very well be the issue at hand... The traffic may very well be good quality ...

Good luck,

did you look at his site? Fling would definately NOT fit in to that scheme.

At least try to keep your spam somewhat on topic..:2 cents:
