Whats the fastest way to screencap and cup up videos for fhgs and member area?

Please share :)

oh and obviously put the site url on the bottom of the vids

Use use Flapjacks v4.6.9. You can run it directly from your server. So just upload your full vids and watermark then tell it the length of the clips and how often to screen cap...Then it processes it and dumps it in whatever directory you want.

what is "cup up"?

Get ready to bust your ass. No easy way but I use videocharge and Snatch It.

do you have a link to where I can check that out? Sounds cool.

Right now I use Final Cut Pro conversion to export an image sequence from the full video. Working with 29.97fps, if you set it to export .05 frames per second that equals 1 image per 20 seconds. For other durations of clips you can play with it or do the math. I like this way because it cuts them from the raw captured footage and not from the downgraded encoded formats. I figure you can do the same with Premier or other capture/edit programs.

:2 cents:

I completely agree. This is the quality we get. We do the screencaps by hand to make sure we get the best selected image with the highest quality. We tried an automated method, but it didn't yield a good enough quality.
