I've heard that too. But the thing that keeps laptops away from my lap is the heat actually...

It's the heat from the battery. "They" used to (or maybe still do) say the same thing about being in a hot tub too long when you're younger.

Yah thats true but they are a lot lighter than desktops, whenever i sit on the couch with my desktop on my lap people always make fun of me
