Cheating adsense..

is it just me or can u cheat adsense..

it doesnt seem so difficult... just do it low key and u can generate extra few $k a month..

and yes they can do conversion tracking but then you can get your "visitors" to click only ads with no conversion tracking...

remember the conversion tracking stores cookies, so i think trick is finding ads that dont store cookies, then again this wouldnt be too hard if ur keyword is narrow and u have only few ads popping up

If this is the case, how will they know ur cheating?

assuming u have "20,000" unique clicks per month

Did Anal Hobbit get a new name?

xxweekxx 03-21-2007 12:44 AM

huh? come on guys think... this is very possible

polish_aristocrat 03-21-2007 12:44 AM

hm if that was so easy 90% of GFY'ers would be doing it, but no one would admit it anyway

xxweekxx 03-21-2007 12:47 AM

its not easy but its 100% possible... the guys doing it know what im talkin about..

The Walrus 03-21-2007 12:51 AM

Too much talk around here about cheating and companies using malware/spyware to generate sales and money. Anything electronic can be manipulated. We know this already. Is there a way to cheat AdSense? Of course, you just have to be the first guy to do it or publically admit it and you had better do it smart.

Just remember, you will just be scaring a large money making opportunity away from quite a few webmasters, honest ones. I have given up on Adwords due to the fact that it is next to impossible to get adult advertisements listed due to "teen concepts" even though it may be a MILF site I am trying to get listed.

They (advertising companies such as google and the such) are all getting sick and tired of the bullshit related to, or involved with this industry and the sad part is, is that there are boatloads of cash to be made and a few (maybe a lot) of asshole cheaters that are looking at the quick buck and not looking at the long haul or big picture.

I know that this thread may just be about logic and not actually cheating. I am in no way trying to call you a thief or a cheater. Wanted to add that so do not hate me, lol.

A shame I say.

Sure its possible, I don't want to lose risking my account over a couple grand.

i dont even use google adsense but i just figured their stuff was flawed... a drunk russian with some good vodka and a massive botnet can do damage to competitors ads..

BIGTYMER 03-21-2007 01:39 AM

Nice fucking topic.

V_RocKs 03-21-2007 01:55 AM

I think you already figured it out.. It would be eventually found out.. It would be a long time setting it up... and you could make that much in the mean time without having it all dry up when accounts get closed.

Klen 03-21-2007 02:28 AM

Botnet with proxy servers, very easy. But still risky.

u-Bob 03-21-2007 05:48 AM

cheating is bad hmmmkayyyyyyyy.

SmokeyTheBear 03-21-2007 09:02 AM

cheating is bad, better to find a way to make money and everyone is still happy..

I was actually thinking of launching an idea to do with adsense and ppc programs..

The trick is , you cant force peole to click your ads or offer any incentives etc but if everyone who joins understand what they are supposed to do :) everything is kosher.

i.e. if i and 100 other friends each noticed an interesting banner on each of our hundred friends pages and clicked it , we would all make 100 clicks per day. if we were getting paid $1 per click we would each make $100 per day just by clicking 100 ads

NdO 03-21-2007 09:05 AM

Smokey, they do better filtering then that, they'll notice your ip clicking 100 times, they'll notice that it is a direct hit, no referrer etc. etc.

bdld 03-21-2007 11:02 AM

even trying anything like that would be dumb, adsense is ruthless and cancel accounts at will.

Losing your Google adsense account is not worth it for any-reason! :thumbsup

I had an account locked because I set up a few PCs in my deli for customers and the browser homepages were all set to my blogs...which customers clicked and subsequently lead to google thinking we were defrauding them.

Thankfully with some photos of the deli and some screenshots the account was reactivated.

If you are trying to damage a competitor (ie: run them up a big bill with no results) even a small botnet can pretty much do some people in. Find places they are linked, and have each one of those bots click one link per day and then click on step additional into the site somewhere. The end result would be hundreds to thousands of non-revenue producing clicks.

This is particularly useful if the cost per click is high (poker ones use to be good for this).

In the same manner, if you have enough blogs and sites supported by adsense, you can have those same bots come in and click a few extra links per day, provided you work to keep your click rates reasonable. You can also use your bots to trigger extra page views, which can help balance out clicks.

The real money in adsense is made in "upgrading" people. Getting the cheapest ass traffic possible, and then filtering them slightly to pages with significantly higher paying adsense ads. I have noticed that many CJ TGPs are now used drop out pages to extract surfers and send them of to PPC "search" pages, and often forward onto non-porn blogs with adsense.
