Yo People from Quebec...

Please go vote smartly on the 26th.

We don't need this independance or seperatist bullshit in this great province.

I'm voting Liberal cause they're the safest bet for me.

CDSmith 03-20-2007 03:09 PM

This thread could go 10+ pages once the separatists get on it. Calling their singleminded cause "bullshit" just whacked the hornets nest big time I would think.

I have family in Quebec. My dad is from there, much of my family history is there. I seriously do hope enough people vote "smartly".

madawgz 03-20-2007 03:11 PM

If Quebec becomes a country, there will be lots of problems here :\

There will also be a mass exodus

yys 03-20-2007 03:29 PM

Please vote the separatists in so we can get about the business of kicking them out and dividing up the spoils.

Dildozer 03-20-2007 03:30 PM

Dumb ass separatists have been a pain in the ass of this province for the past 25 years. Wanna separate?

Fine, just keep Montreal and the west in Canada, Problem solved. I mean most separatists are outside Montreal anyway. I'm all for partition and so is Harper. Then Quebec will be the third world country its always aspired to be.

Longer. Much longer than 25 years. Ever hear of the October crisis?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/October_Crisis

It's been a major issue since the early 60's at least.

Pinacolada 03-20-2007 03:54 PM

I don't like politics!

Yup it was a fucking mess back then, thanks to that stupid french guy screaming Vivre le quebec libre.

Seriously what does the Quebecers need to be free from, have we ever been slaves in the past :1orglaugh :1orglaugh :1orglaugh

Dildozer 03-26-2007 09:10 AM

Bump
Let's kill the PQ, vote liberal

CDSmith 03-26-2007 09:15 AM

Today's the day, yes?

MetaMan 03-26-2007 09:19 AM

Quebecers are so lazy the only way to lure them to the polls is to set up a polling station next to a poutine spot or a welfare office. :2 cents:

LOL they have no right to seperate from this country. The natives were here first LOL

so despite being uncomfy in that damn province when i drive threw the stream of bad fast drivers, ill lift my hat and enjoy quebec as its canada lol

RawAlex 03-26-2007 11:34 AM

I did my duty.

We'll see how it turns out.

xenilk 03-26-2007 11:34 AM

At least go vote. It'll give whatever party you vote for a good 50cent per year to fund their next election campaign.

P.S: Because you don't want seperation doesn't mean that your only choice are the liberals.

xenilk 03-26-2007 11:40 AM

tehHinjew 03-26-2007 11:43 AM

gonna go vote later on
lol i remember when i was in elemetary school we made signs that said screw the seperatist on voting day

Dildozer 03-26-2007 11:55 AM

Did my job, now do yours. Would love to vote ADQ but gotta take out the separatists first

northboy 03-26-2007 12:04 PM

forget the people in the city, it's those suburbs and quebec city that are going for adq/pq. They have no clue it's so funny, they vote because they think they are going to be rich overnight from voting for pq/adq. Oh well, I just voted but it's going to be QUITE a night if the Liberals don't win.

Yeah, there are plenty of other choices. The Bloque Pot, the Maxist Leninist party, the green party, the equality party... all major players that will assure Quebec's place in a united Canada.

If you're a voter in Montreal your vote is worth 1/3rd of a vote from someone at Ile de la Madeleine and 1 half of a resident of Ungava's. If it wasn't for the fucked up electoral chart the PQ wouldn't be much of a threat. Hell in 98 the Liberals had more votes than the PQ and the PQ still won by a vast majority of seats.

Fucking regions.

So why didn't the liberals change that ?

The PQ tried to under Levesque, but gave up later on. Then the ADQ took over ....

Quebec Solidaire also brought it up, but I'm not voting for these union loving commies either.

.

There will not be an independance with just the PQ winning the election. And the PQ in power will not do worst at running Quebec as the Liberals did.

They sucked it up pretty bad last night! :1orglaugh
Please all the PQ is good for is sucking union ass and putting us into debt

Basic_man 03-27-2007 06:44 AM

Big warning to him, would love to see Philippe Couillard replace him.

My bet is this government won't last very long, the ADQ is gonna wait a bit and try to gain a majority at the next elections. I bet Duceppe will be jumping in the PQ to try to save it as well.

directfiesta 03-27-2007 08:07 AM

Charest is done.
Boisclair is done.

So both parties need time to rebuild.

Dumont is the new King, but need time to see who in his team is worthy, and to raise money ( that he didn't have this ime ).

So we will have this gov. for near 2 years imo ( just like at the federal level )
