FRIENDLY TIP: how to help get out of photo-radar tickets

car registered to the opposite sex

i just found this out recently. if the car is registered in the name of your spouse, for instance, then if you get photographed, there is a control (at least in phx) to where they try to match the gender of the photo to who the car is registered under, if its not a match there is a very high chance that they will not proceed with the ticket

this may be useful to some of you speeders out there

rofl they tested that with a lambo on mythbusters. I think the lambo go to 140ish and the pic was crystal clear. So unless you're rockin' a Bugatti Veyron at full speed I seriously doubt any "blurring" will happen :1orglaugh

The 147 MPH Hyundai proved that just wasn't true. They nailed his ass over and over.

I got a ticket in my wifes car before.

I haven't gotten one in my girlfriends though....

Wonder if they know who is married and who isn't.

They send the ticket to whom ever the car is registered to here in Australia and if your not the driver then you can assign who it was and they get the points.

Married = double the points LOL

did they test side to side movement?

a quick swerve at the right time should do the trick :winkwink:

What about the spray that makes the plates reflective?
