Software To Prevent Duplicates??? - Please Help

I run lots of blogs and I try my best to make the content original and unique. The problem I'm encountering now that many of the blogs are over 2 years old is I'm posting identical titles. This is not a huge problem, but I'd prefer to make all my future titles unique.

So ... the question ... is there a software application that would allow me to do the following :

- I feed a database with about 2 year's worth of post titles (several thousand)
- I write 10 new articles and the software tells me if I've used the titles before
- It either highlights them so I know which ones to change or just deletes them

Any ideas?

I'm not sure of anything that's a direct help, but if another way to go about it is if you have a Sitemap file (i.e. Google Sitemap) or an RSS feed with all titles. Then you can just write a quickie script to scan the sitemap/xml file to check if it's a duplicate.

That would be perfect! Is there anything available or would it need to be custom coded?

I think I've found some software. Only problem is I'll have to enter all the titles into it obviously to create the database. AGH!!!!
