Forget Hillary and Obama. Forget Senate members, its governors/former governors who usually win.

He'd make a fine VP choice for John Edwards. That's the olny way the dems have a chance in 08. Fact is 33% of people will never vote for a woman and 44% will never vote for Hillary because she's a bitch. If Hillary is the Dem choice then that means she'd have to get 90% of the vote from people that might be willing to vote for her. Not likely.
Obamma can't win because he's black. Fact is 25% of the population will never vote for a black guy. That means he has to get 67% of the vote from people that might vote for a black guy. Once again highly unlikely.
Edwards is from the south so he has a chance of grabbing at least one southern state which the dems would need. All it takes is one.
Richardson is the governor of NM a state in which Kerry lost and Gore barely won. So he gaurantees NM 5 elector votes for the dems. He also help make sure California goes to the dems which is should anyways. Bush barely won Florida in 2000 and even in 04 only won by 300,000. The GOP nom won't have a brother running Florida to help campaign for them everyday. Also Bush seemed to get a higher than normal % of the Hispanic vote for whatever reason. The GOP candidate won't have this advantage and throw in the fact Richardson is Hispanic and that could tilt Florida to the dems. Richardson could also help with getting AZ electoral votes, but only if McCain isn't the nominee.
